Remote Command

No haircut, still. Arrgh. This is just like buying shoes. Impossible. Maybe tomorrow. A nice Orlando Bloom look. Yup.

I'm having a serious issue at home. My remote control. For a while now the 1 and the 4 buttons have been a bit... touchy. Sometimes I could just push them, sometimes I would have to mash them down. It wasn't too bad until recently. The 4 has become a bastion of rebellion, requiring intense pressure for any sort of response. And I think the rebellion has spread, because now 5, previously thought to be a stalwart supporter of my will, has begun acting up. There's no telling how far the rebellion might spread. I may have no choice but to leave the tv on at all times, if the power button leaves me. I must plan my defenses.

Things are running smoothly.

Remember REM? I just thought of that song that has a lot of "Try not to..." in it. Yeah, I just looked it up. It's called "Try Not to Breathe" and it was on Automatic for the People, which I owned but can't find and therefore can't listen to right now. And now I'm thinking about Nightswimming. And these songs we grew up with.

This is an update. Read it, and weep for your future!

I am almost done with Battlestar Galactica: Season 3. It's all I have left to watch and I'm both terrified and thrilled to finish it. And then I'll experience what everyone else has already been going through, the waiting.
And almost done with The Historian. And I am so terrified and thrilled to reach the conclusion of that!

Other than that, work is long and sometimes wearying. And it's really hot here.

I'm boring. I don't have much to say right now. I'd love to talk about how great Avatar or Battlestar Galactica is, but the dorks have probably seen more than I have and the non-dorks don't care.

Heroes! Did anyone watch the season finale? It was disappointing, but I still like the series. It was only disappointing because the series tends to hover on greatness. Like, oooh, people with abilities, only they don't really use them to do cool stuff very often. But with its popularity, Season Two might have better effects and thus, more action.

I finished my revision of my screenplay. Did I mention I was writing a screenplay? I think like a year ago I said it would be done in a month or two. Well eventually I actually finished it (around Christmas) and now I've finished revising it. I'm not yet comfortable enough to let anyone just read it or critique it, and I don't want to force it on people, but I am probably going to give it to a small number of friends and family in the hopes that they might give me good insights and feedback. I don't want to say that you are on this list, because there's the chance that you don't want to be on it. And there's the chance that I'm afraid of putting you on it. Do you know what I mean?

Tell you what: If you would like to be on that list, send me word. And then you are probably on it. But this is not an instant thing. We are looking at a few weeks from now at least.
And I'll give you this: The title is The Pirate Princess.
